The Women's Self-Defense Course offered by Flyers Taekwon-Do will help give you the security and peace of mind in knowing that you can dramatically increase the chances of surviving and avoiding a violent attack. The course enhances your ability to protect yourself, your friends and your family from dangerous situations.

This self-defense course has been designed specifically to empower women with the skills, tactics and strategies to avoid and/or survive a violent situation.

Knowledge is power; we also provide guidance to your local crisis hotline and counseling services so you can pass the information on to friends, family or someone you know who has been a victim or is at high risk of becoming one.




We offer course for Men, Woman, Young Adults and Kids.

We also offer courses for the Job Site, in your building or ours.

Courses can be customized to any needs and run from 1 hour up to 5 hours (more if needed) in length.  Courses can be blocked into Beginner, Intermediate and Advance, should you wish to schedule a series of classes, which is highly recommended.


Course tuition's range from $20 to $65, pending on the target group, number of attendees and length of the course.

We even offer Completion Certification to clients whose employers require Self-Defense as part of their continuing education and/or general safety policies.

Below, is a small glimpse of the skills you will learn in your self-defense course?

    • How to read body language
    • How to avoid a violent confrontation
    • Strategies to trick your attacker
    • Learn to disable your attacker by utilizing your strengths against the attacker’s weaknesses.
    • How to escape the most common grabs and holds
    • Defense against the most common strikes
    • Extensive training regarding survival on the ground
    • What to do when the unthinkable happens.

The courses are instructed by recently retired, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Supervisory Special Agent, Master Lawrence J. Greene, A7-79, of the United States Taekwon-Do Federation/International Taekwon–Do Federation (ITF/USTF). Master Greene served as an Assault Team member and was the primary Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Houston, Texas FBI SWAT Team for 16 of his 25 years of service with the FBI.  As an International Instructor for the FBI and in accordance with the Department of Justice-International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) program, Master Greene instructed courses on Interview and Interrogation Techniques, Understanding and Interpreting Body Language to Law Enforcement Officers throughout the U.S. and abroad.  Many of these same concepts and techniques are integrated into the self-defense course curriculum to help participants better assess situations and react more effectively.
